The first step in the installation process is to acclimate the wood to the conditions in your home. This is the process of letting the flooring sit in your home for at least 5 days .
After the accimation process the actual installation will begin.
All furniture, wall hangings and window treatments should be removed from the room at this point.
Depending on the type of flooring being installated and the type of subfloor the flooring is to be installed upon, the new hardwood floors may either be nailed, glued or floated.
The flooring will not be installed tight against all the walls in the to allow for some expansion in the humid months of the year. The slight gap where the flooring does not meet the wall will be covered by shoe molding during the sanding and finishing process.
During the installation, our installers will need access to standard 120v power to operate the saws and other power equipment as needed.
